By launching this Innovation Lab in Camden, the Sixers are renewing their commitment to bringing innovation in the consumer, sports, media, technology, and entertainment spaces to the region and giving back to the process of creating transformative change in Camden and beyond. Since acquiring the Philadelphia 76ers five years ago, Sixers ownership and management have been committed to sponsoring innovation and creativity in the greater Philadelphia region. Much of this has been focused on enhancing the fan experience and ensuring that the area continues to thrive as a center for new business creation.

What type of company are we looking for?
If you are smart, motivated and have a unique business that we can help, we want you in the Sixers Innovation Lab Crafted by Kimball. Our management team has run businesses in sports, gaming, technology, apparel and footwear and has connections across all industries.
Although swimming downstream means being in sports, technology and consumer facing businesses, our leadership team is one call away from almost any CEO in the world. We lean toward companies that already have a product, website or service and have some indicators of future success, but we are also open to ground floor concepts.
How are the selected companies chosen?
After receiving the applications, each will be reviewed by the Managing Director and Manager of Operations. Approved applications will be reviewed by members of the Vetting Committee. After a rigorous process, the final set of companies will be contacted and interviewed by members of the Board of Governors. Following, the selected companies will be notified.
How long is a company in the Innovation Lab?
Your stay is flexible. After assessing your needs, the Managing Director will develop a timeline for your residency in the Innovation Lab.
Will the Innovation Lab partners be taking an equity stake in all participating businesses?
Yes, the Innovation Lab partners (Sixers and Kimball) will be taking an equity stake in for participation in the Innovation Lab. Each company will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Where is the Innovation Lab housed?
The Sixers Innovation Lab Crafted by Kimball will be housed on the ground floor of the Sixers' brand new, state-of-the-art Training Complex in Camden, NJ. The 125,000-square-foot Training Complex will be the largest in the NBA, and will include the Sixers basketball operations facility and business operations offices.
